Oh, that takes me back, somewhere in my backup files is the program I wrote in the dark distant past to dial up the ISP, load up Internet Explorer, load up Outlook Express (Remember them?) and a spam filter program, and put up a cheery “Welcome Home” message. Set the bios to fire up 5 mins before I got home from work and it was all set up ready for me. As I recall I could also phone my house number to kick it into life as well. Ah the days of slow internet and slow PC’s
Reminds me of the Simpson’s Episode, where Comic Book Guy waited patiently for a picture of Captain Janeway from Star Trek, Voyager. (Not even Seven of Nine)
