Amazing. When the zoom returns the dialogue suddenly becomes legible. Will wonders never cease.
Now if gocomics could just arrange to acquire publishing rights for this strip…. As far as I know it’s not being published/available anywhere else so it would be a continuing source of income, something almost everyone needs(except politicians-they steal enough already).
I e-mailed them and asked about this strip. This is the reply I got. Didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know:

Universal Uclick Support, Mar 27 02:24 PM: Hello,
At this time, we do not currently have the entire collection of files in our possession. That said, we are attempting to obtain both the high res files, as well as the remainder of the collection.
The above addresses both the size/quality of the strips we do have, as well as why the story continues to loop and is cut short (we just keep re-running what we’ve got).
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

What in the world is going on with the Lil’ Abner comic strip? It repeats and repeats—-and now it is jumping back to the beginning of the arc that hasn’t even finished. Hope you can straighten it out, we all love that comic and would like to see so much more of it.
Thank you,

From yesterday: I’ve read a few “Li’l Abner” collections over the years but never tried it on GoComics until the other day. (I happen to be reading a biography of Al Capp at the moment: he seems to have been a rather nasty piece of work!) Now we’re back at the beginning of it, but does this mean this is one of the few story arcs that GoComics has the rights to? If so, that would be very disappointing.@Chris042Thanks for the explanation. That doesn’t really lessen the disappointment, though. SIGH. (Does anybody besides me wish GoComics could add “Pogo” someday, as well?)
Well, at least an answer. I know the Smokey Stover strip died a long time ago(not sure of the date right now). Maybe some smart cartoonist will pick it up and update/continue the strip. Hint, hint, hint!Yeah, I know..kind of what you shouldn’t do into the wind but…..
