Abner ducking marriage to Daisy Mae, and Dick Tracy stranding Tess Trueheart at the altar were two of the long running clichés in comics. Marriage turned out not to affect Tracy storylines too much, but it threw a monkey wrench in Abner… Sadie Hawkins was never quite the same (although various strategies were used to try and keep it as exciting).
And so we reach the end (as I recall) of this story. Sit back and try not to get too dizzy as we are tossed into the randomizer and either visit New York again or drop into another truncated storyline.

It was before my time when this arc originally ran, but I had no doubt that this last character was actually Li’l Abner.
