Is the message for today’s comic that the comic pages are stuck in time? Why is there such a big difference in the language and content allowed in TV cartoons compared to cartoons printed in a newspaper?
75 years since - what? Comics existed before 1933. Is this a tribute to Alley Oop? What does this say about Stewie and Peter? Surely Peter is no Prof. Onemug. This is one of my favorite strips and I usually “get” it. But this one sailed right past me.

YAY, Family Guy - no matter what they say about it, its bleeep entertaining.
That time-travelling ape will never make it to prime time TV (which is sad actually).
My Avatar feels very happy today :-)

Allie Oop? 75? Wow! What will Lio be doing in 75 years? I would like to see some of those strips!

We’ll know when a present-day Hollywood Argyles” record a hit song about Lio.

I definitely find Family Guy more entertaining than Alley Oop.
