    There was a Far Side with a snake family at the dinner table. Someone asked Junior to jiggle grandpa’s rat so that it appeared to be alive.

    I tried to get my pet snakes to eat hamburger this way. They didn’t like it. Being that they were garter snakes, I let them go.
