A Rube Goldberg flower squirter. Simply fantastic..

(Goldberg drew great monstrous machines to do things like push a toaster lever down)

Don’t feel too relieved. That’s sour milk.

Back about 1970 I did something like that at work. Modeled after a WWII Q-ship, a panel on the workbench would open and a tiny deck gun would swing out and track the victim and … Shoosh.

    That was Level 1.

MAGNA But Rube Goldberg would have filled the page with one panel of “physics” to prove it could be done. Like watching your wife use a broom to get the flour off the top shelf. You want to say something but you can’t move.

Is it just me, or does this ‘toon remind anyone else of the works of the the late, great, Don Martin?

I think I saw the Joker do this to Batman once…….btw Simon, it’s the hinged feet on Dad in the second panel that are VERY like Don Martin.

At least Lio’s punishment won’t be quite as harsh as Dad was originally expecting!

Abso-tively, Simon Jester–I was just scrolling to the bottom to say the same thing when I saw your comment!

Actually, I’ve appreciated the strong “Don Martin” influence for quite some time now!

It squirts Dad with the flower, then drys him off with the dual hairdryers on its shoulders!

With all the rockets and the caterpillar tracks, this robot reminds me of those Shogun Warriors toys from long ago. Anyone else remember ‘em?
