Though Ishy might be a bit moist, as might the croc (if he’s been for a swim), the snake shouldn’t leave a trail. Dry and warm, like my old roommate’s six-foot rosy boa, Bal. But you had to pay attention when she was out; if she got up inside the couch you’d have to take it apart, or wait for her to get hungry.
Most such snakes only have a meal once a (was it month, or a week), and poop the next day or so. Don’t be next to her when she does.
