I knew this was coming. :-)

I’ve always known that Lio is a bit batty.

I know a team could use a few good bats…

At least it will keep all the bugs off the field.

All those bats have eyes like Spock, Dean’s black cat.

I think I remember this from the Adam West show, the episode with Batman vs. The Designated Hitter.

Lio is a true animal lover. The uglier the animal, the greater the love.

There was a similar joke in the 1946 cartoon “Baseball Bugs” directed by Friz Freling. Bugs calls for the bat boy, and a kit with wings flies up and hands him a (wooden) bat.

The way he draws bats in this strip reminds me of Dean’s cat, Spock. Both are adorable. XD
