I thought this jet pack ran on plutonium; surely the fuel rods (see yesterday’s strip) should not have run out so soon? And, instant communication by tablet isn’t doing much good for you, is it, Lio?
I have a clip on FitBit and I get emails saying the battery needs to be changed. I found that the batteries were okay with a battery tester. I now ignore the email. Those batteries aren’t cheap.
I remember reading once about a guy who went mountain climbing in the Andy’s and got trapped in a cave by a snowfall. He had his cell phone with him and had a signal in his cave so he tried calling for help only to discover that he was out of minutes. The next day he woke up when his phone rang, it was his carrier calling to ask him if he wanted to buy more minutes. Not only did he buy more minutes, when he explained his situation to the salesman he actually put his call through to rescue services for him.
I have an HP6600 inkjet printer. For each 3 documents it prints, it stops and “checks” itself for about 4 minutes during which time you can do nothing. Each ink cartridge is miniscule and doesn’t last very long. I wish I’d never bought the damn thing.

The jetpack must only come with a starter cartridge.

Probably made by an ink jet printer manufacturer. Just the starter fuel pack.

Akin to those “freemium” games who are ostensibly “free”, but soak you on all of the addons that you pretty much need to buy…

If you look real close, the label on the jet pack says Lexmark.
