I hope this isn’t the end of the strip.

I see.

I use to think that a dead end meant that if you took that route, somebody was going to kill you. One as a child have the craziest thoughts.

What? Is the strip ending?

The end of the end is inevitable, I suppose: the final statement, the last hurrah, the pot o’ gold. So bring down the curtain, lower the lights, reprise the theme, and say good night, Gracie….

And now the end is near,and we face the final curtain…
