As opposed to the Dog translator: “Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Heeeeeey!”

Ducks say “What?” Seagulls say, “Mine.”

They’re French ducks, they’re actually saying “Quoi?”

Apparently the Duck Translator 9000 is powered by about 14 whats.

Who wants to know what the ducks say? Cats look like they have more interesting things to say. You can try it with Cybil… though the comic would probably be censored if you try.

Actually the translator is translating into that alien language from that animated episode of the Tick where “what” was their whole vocabulary. Now Lio needs another language to translate from that language to English.

That’s really pretty much all I’d expect from a duck—at least, a non-Disney professional duck (and those are near-unintelligible anyway). The Duck Translator 9000 is nonetheless a great scientific achievement!
