No,no. Back to school is getting a Cromebook.

Probably not a book in the place.

And that’s just for the FIRST day of school!

I wouldn’t send any kid that I love to sit in the middle of an oversized Petri dish.

Raleigh area here. Most districts in this area are going to be remote for at least the first nine weeks. They did try to bring UNC and NC State back for live instruction, but big surprise, within fourteen days of the dorms opening they each had a dozen clusters of cases – those are only the known (symptomatic) cases – and went back to online.

No pepper spray for people who intrude into your safe zone?

You have to admire the persistence of the educational establishment in Lio’s town. Every time one of Lio’s robots or nukes destroys the school, they just rebuild it!

Does the sanitiser have 70% alcohol? I still prefer soap and water myself. Also, I hope those masks aren’t the discardable version.

Back in March, I made my own masks since there were none on the store shelves. Then I bought 2 boxes of disposables, since that’s the only kind I could buy. I now have a good supply of reusable masks, but carry a few disposables in case I need a change while away from home. Today, I got the the store, and realized I had forgotten my mask, so I pulled one of the disposables out of my pocket.

I figured Lio’s back to school plans would include building a time machine to go far enough into the future to avoid the pandemic entirely!
