Hover over the center of the strip and click on the magnifying glass for a big increase in size.
I remember buying the Woody Gelman hardback of Nemo strips (seemed huge at the time, but it was still small compared to the full-size reprints coming out now) (which are themselves smaller than the original drawings). I read it for an hour or two, completely unable to ration myself, and Mom said I had to go pick Dad up from work.
I had to keep reminding myself that I was in Reality. It was one of the weirdest feelings I ever had.
It took a little while to read this one. Maybe they can get Pogo on here, too. It stopped long before I was born. I just wish I could stop that ad that keeps coming in from the left side of the screen every 15 seconds.
Wow, this is a real treat. Thanks GoComics; looking forward to following this one. Hope you guys are able to get more of the old legendary comics. (I’m having cropping issues myself; ended up having to dump the whole thing into a Word document and zooming. Can this be fixed, please?)
This is nifty! I expanded it to 400% and scrolled. At 400% on my screen it holds the panel and the text under it perfectly. Now, if they could stop rerunning the same time period from Little Abner and move on to ‘newer’ strips for those of us who didn’t see them on the first run..
I really hope this is going to be the complete collection rather than “the best of” collection. I read a lot of these at the library once but someone lost the book and now they just have “the best of”, which cut out a lot of adventures.
Yahooooo!!! Been waiting for this day. I hope people who aren’t familiar with Little Nemo give it a try. And by all means, magnify it if you can.
I used to have all eight Fantagraphic reprints but lost them in a flood…got the 2007 Evergreen reprint volume from Germany now. Next to Peanuts and early Batman, Little Nemo is my all-time favorite comic. There’s never been another one quite like it.
I’ve read this strip on a few vintage comic sites along with krazy kat but its really nice to finely be able to read all of the text. thanks for the upgrade.
I agree with byamrcn – really appreciate the daily (or nearly daily rollout of The Ancient Ones.
The only feedback I have – and it’s important – posted scan must be legible (some of the “Newsboy” comics from the past two weeks were hard to read – then, again – I was reading on an iPad; maybe I need to read these on a desktop – after all, the originals were VERY large, by today’s standards!) McCay’s work looks good – his lettering was so precise.

I can’t read it. The word balloons are far too small.

I don’t know anything about Little Nemo past the animated movie. This’ll be interesting.

Cool. I didn’t like the small print or having to do the magnifying glass though.
