It’s a miracle! Because I’m fairly certain (from sad personal experience) that tortoises do not swim.
Kids convinced me to “save” a huge snapper from the road (coal shove, bed of pickup). Told me they would “love him, take care of him, and feed him”. (stop me if you’ve heard this). Two days later I drove by same turtle, same place.
I knew deep down tortoise liked Little Dog.
Nice work, great text - and both are in living color! Tortoise is, after all, colorful.
Apparently, when he is under weigh the term “turtle” is appropriate. He didn’t object this time.
