I used to live in Midwest City OK, too close to Tinker AFB, when the AWACs planes were landing, it stopped all conversation inside the house they flew so low and were so loud!
We are about that close to Washington Dulles. Not directly under the flight path, planes bank and turn above us all the time. Back when Concorde was still flying, the windows would rattle each time it flew over – but what a beautiful plane!
From one bedroom window at night I can see a steady stream of lights about 10pm heading down the landing path to ORD. We’re far enough out that they’re just pretty lights gliding by. Fortunately!
We live under the flight path of 2 different Hospitals’ Medical Helicopter paths. They come to our local hospital and pick up patients that our local hospital can’t take care of. You know someone is in serious trouble. And it also reminds me of the night my Dad feel and hit his head. He, too, had to be life flighted. That was almost 6 years ago, but those choppers still remind me every time.

I had a look at an F117 flying in daylight. When it turned to fly directly away, it all but disappeared, the silhouette was so thin.
