Yes, sadly handbag doggies were a “thing” for awhile. Most ended up in shelters as I understand. Some of them are so adorable, but new owners should be aware of how fragile they are. On the other hand, they should not be carried around everywhere. They need to learn they can do it for themselves.

My mom’s male Shih Tzu stays on the bed in her room all day because of his heart condition. They watch TV and even sleep together.
