I just came across this very strip in a pile of papers I was going through two days ago! I loved it so much when I read it the first time, I printed it out, just for my own edification. It’s sweet and spooky at the same time!

almost reminds you of the many dogs you hear about who are patiently waiting for their masters not knowing that they have passed away and are never returning…but for this little guy the ghost of his master has come for him
