Technology got to the point of being creepy long ago.
It got creepy with television. People thought if they could see the TV broadcaster that the broadcaster could see them.
More creepy by the day.
I’ve gotten paranoid to the point where I cover up the little camera thingy on my computer.
For real creepiness read Dave Eggers books (fiction) The Circle and The Every.
I think “Walking Alexa” is cute.
Several years ago, I was alone, reading when out of the blue, Alexa told me it had been 2 months since I had ordered an item, did I want to reorder now? I unplugged all 3, and have never looked back.
My sister-in-law unplugs Alexia when not in use, since they started getting ads for things that they only talked about when Alexia was not unplugged.
