I knew I liked that dog! But, I’ll just go with extra coffee: first on the old schedule, now on the new schedule.

When husband worked full time I would generally not bother to change my schedule for the changes in time other than when we were together on weekends/holidays or otherwise had to – understand the clocks were changed but I got up an hour later in spring/summer. It was much easier.

We really don’t have to be anywhere any longer as we are each mostly retired. During the pandemic – neither of us is a morning person (1:45 am right now and I am still on my computer and will be for awhile) so we gradually moved back when we went to bed and when we woke up. He has been going to sleep at 4 am with me running an hour or two later and he has been waking up around noon with me waking around 1 pm. He decided we had to move back to a normal time – so when the clock was moved back this past weekend we went to bed at 3 am (daylight savings time) and he woke up an hour usual using standard time. We will stay this way for awhile to adjust and then move waking an hour earlier and probably later even an hour longer. Which means I am losing my time alone when go online late night – but at least next time we have a reenactment event to go to he will not stay up all night worrying if he will be able to wake up early enough and miss going as he stayed up most of the night worrying about same and finally fell asleep a couple of hours before we were to go.
