Zucchini is worse….

I remember peeling tubs of tomatoes for Mom to can.

The boss makes the sauce.

Could be turnips.

She has the wrong variety of tomatoes. She has what is called “determinate” tomatoes. They ripen all at once at the end of the growing season. So-called “indeterminate” tomatoes ripen much fewer at a time throughout the growing season.

Must be Romas. Good for making sauce.

Everything ripens overnight, at once.

So dry them.

here in japan, they charge such ridiculous prices for such ridiculously small zucchini that folks think they’re receiving a luxury items when we give ours away. and unlike what’s sold in the supermarket, our tomatoes actually have flavor…
