Wouldn’t deliberately hurt anyone perhaps. But around here (MD) they commit suicide by jumping in front of cars this time of year. Lots of damage, occasional deaths. Revenge for clearing and paving their habitat.
I find I have to explain to city people a lot that for some folks, it really is a way to keep the freezer stocked in the winter. Meat is expensive, especially in places where there aren’t as many supermarkets.
This one was hysterical to me. (Not that anyone cares about my opinion—probably—but the deer are being shoved into unexpected areas because we’ve pushed them out of habitat, food, etc. Don’t know the solution—sterilization?)
