    Scientific notation doesn’t mean numbers cubed or squared… it means numbers times a power of ten.

    E.G. a steak priced at $3.95 × 102 is really $395.00.If the steak itself is cubed…. wow, that’s awfully expensive for cube steak.

    If you are in Greece, then this would be normal. I think the exchange rate for the dollar vs. the drachma measures the drachma in metric tonnage…
