At least he’s not talking in that annoying squeaky voice.

Long ago I threw a party for the folks at work. Mainly it was a summer beer-bust. For a set up I rented a helium cylinder and filled as many balloons as my apartment ceiling could accommodate. During the evening one of the guys found the cylinder and pretty soon the whole crowd was silly talking. In the early morning hours a few hanger-ons and I would watch the balloons gently leave the ceiling and glide out the open sliding door.

We can always make more helium. There are actually two ways: you could split a heavy nucleus and one of the by-products is a helium nucleus. The other way is to fuse two hydrogen atoms together. Both processes are somewhat destructive.

Another good one, Mr B.! It took me a little while, but then it sank home. . .

Comicland must use a lot of helium for all those speech balloons. Evidently, some artists save money by just writing the text without a balloon.

So that’s what keeps those word balloons afloat.
