Doing CPR on Annie for three minutes is tiring, 30 minutes on the real thing is another story. Also the day I learned how to do it strading the patient because the table in the ER was too high.
She ,(22yo F) had congestive heart failure, couldn’t have saved her if she fell in front of me. Didn’t break any ribs and they could read a radial pulse during compression’s. Thanks Fairfax County for teaching me right.
When I took First Aid and CPR we had a full Annie and a half Annie. One of the guys in our class was assigned to the half Annie and after shaking her and asking if she was ok, he looked up and shouted, “Someone call 911. She said her legs fell off!”
Just for anybody missing the distinction, there’s a difference between breathing for someone to save their life and giving a romantic kiss to someone you love. (That’s particularly noticeable if the person you’re trying to save throws up while you’re giving CPR.)

Ironically, years later, that young lady now giving you grief will actually ENJOY it.
And so will several others. ;)
