Reminds me of Mr Hand and Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Hand finally went to Spicoli’s house the night of the prom and gave him an impromptu exam. At the end, Spicoli asks Hand if he is going to fail him and he said: " No I think you will just squeak by"……. Lots of up and coming stars in that movie: Sean Penn, Phoebe Cates, Judge Reinhold, Forrest Whitaker, Eric Stoltz (as one of Penn’s surfer buddies) while our Favorite Martian, Ray Walston, played Mr Hand.
