Gunther: "A purse contains 20 coins. Some are dimes, the rest are nickels. The coins are worth more than $1.40. At least how many dimes are in the purse?" Gunther: Can you solve that one, Luann? Luann: I'm not sure. Is this a big cannas carry all or just one of the little beaded evening bags?

It’s 8.8 dimes + 12 nickels = 20 coins80 + 60 = 1.40

I can remember when a cup of coffee was a nickel and a dime would buy a mug of beer.

I don’t know what people are answering here, but there is obviously ONLY one answer to this, which “Warum” got right.Given:20 coinsxdimes + ynickels = 140Both exist, yet it could be 14 dimes. But it’s not the right answer, obviously.1 dime = 10, 1 nickel = 51 dime and 19 Nickels as said in comment 1 is obviously wrong, since it’s a total of 95.20 is also wrong, since it says “the least amount”, not any amount of dimes.x(10) + y(5) = xy(140)
