Dad is right. Men are now treated unfairly compared to women. (Coming from a girl here.)

Frank is right. Equality for women is great but it can be really ugly too. For example, in a lot of romance novels, mostly the ones with “strong independent women” the girl treats the guy like crap. Whether she’s insulting him or kicking him in the crotch there is almost always some form of beating down on her part. Sometimes it’s deserved but that’s rarely the case. And this happens ALL THE FREAKING TIME!! They usually try to explain it away by saying she has baggage. Sometimes it works but even then, that’s no excuse for treating another person so badly. And if the roles were reversed then this trope would not last but when it’s a girl.. Oh she’s EXPRESSING herself. That’s why I prefer romances that are written by guys because they dont pull that nonsense
