Gunther: "Do you know that 85% of our brains growth occurs by the time we're three years old?" Knute: "Wait. You're saying we get most of our smarts just goofing around at home? Before we ever set foot in school?!" Knute: "Then we start school and it takes 12 years to fill up the other 15%??" Gunther: "Well, sorta..." Knute: "This is taking too long, I'm gonna go home and play in a sandbox"

There is a certain logic to Knute’s choice. —Though I’m not sure a sandbox is the key….

Try arguing with that logic.
Just try.

Good to see KNUTE apply some logic! You do got some smarts, Knute.

Would it have been so hard for Gunther to explain the difference between brain tissue and knowledge? And – Yes, I know this is a comic.

and just how much of our brain growth has already taken place before we have even been born? so is getting born worth it? and what logical conclusion does this lead to?
I disagree with Knute’s reasoning, simply because it leads to a false conclusion. But I’m too tired right now to try to pick holes in his argument.
well… offhand, to start with there’s a difference between brain capacity and actual knowledge

As a neurologist I’d have to say, I don’t even know where to begin with how that statement is wrong.
