Sure, to be one of the nameless, faceless, creditless extras in a quick pan of a crowd scene…where you’ll accidentally see Quinn and jump to all kinds of the wrong conclusions, fed by your limitless self-delusion.

How many will end up making this trip?

Wonder if Quill is in the movie? And what is Elwood doing, telling Tiffany to go to LA? Nothing good, I bet.

Rosa’s dad used to be a diplomat, Quill’s father is a chemist. I doubt Greg will go for the absurdity of their running into each other in LA, They’ll be on the same plane, mark my words.

I know a lot of people think Pitts has to be near San Diego because the cast shows up ComicCon, but since LA’s just over 2 hours away from SD, “getting to LA over Christmas break” would be nothing for Tiffany – she’d be able to drive there any time.

I love this twist! No good will come of it, in the short run at least! Maybe they (Quill and Tiff) will even share a ride by car? How far can L.A. be? How jealous will Luann be?

I bet Quills cousin will be the unknown star and they will meet on the set.

Tiffany unexpectedly sits next to Quill on the plane….. “Wow…. you going to LA too??!!”

Pulls out her phone and …. “Smile, Quill!” ….. takes a quick pic of the two of them…

Texts it to Crystal….

“Hey look, you guys! Isn’t that Quill?”

Bam! Back to the days of teen angst…

Maybe temporarily, yeah….

but we do get a glimpse of Luann as Luann again….

Lest we forget what this strip is about.

on the other side of the coin…….. if it is a trip from San Diego to Hollywood(about 130 miles)……….maybe Luann and Quill will go in a car over there, and Quill’s uncle “happens to be working in the movie”, Tiff will “think” that the unknown Luann is playing Zeye even though in reality Luann is not part of the movie

Me thinks… oh what a tangled web is being woven.

Someone mentioned Tiffany & Quill getting together and I put it down as wishful thinking, but …maybe Greg figured out a new way to get a lot of interest in his strip. And BTW, maybe we’ll see some Luann/Crystal dialog – which could be interesting.Could be awhile before we see Brad & Toni if this heats up – it has all the earmarks of a 3-week strip.

Yeah, I know Christmas is more than 3 weeks away, but we have to revisit Gunther & Rosa before the Tiffany/Quill debacle is concluded – well, maybe we WILL see Brad & Toni at Thanksgiving. It would be a nice followup to Nancy’s freezeout of Toni two years ago at Thanksgiving.

This can’t be good…

Oh look. There I was starting to feel sorry for Tiff, and now it’s gone.

Actually, Tiff will probably be working and Quill will be visiting his uncle. Unless they are both somehow involved in this movie, I doubt they would even run into each other. But even if they don’t, Luann can always manufacture a plot against herself by them in her mind. Besides – it’s not like Luann and Quill are dating. Luann has worked very hard to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Tiffany and Quill on the SAME plane? Hah, Tiffany would NEVER make it pass the TSA’s Body Scanner!

I think Friday and Saturday we will get hints of what Greg is planning to do next month before we switch to a “thanksgiving theme” for next week; we will know if it is “more like what Susan said” or more toward what I said

oh yeah: left coast influence is major in this strip. ho: no beach scenes needed. i lived in socal off and on for about 15 years, and i think i went near a beach maybe 3 times. and flying by helo or commuter from sd to la might a LOT faster than driving on the 5

What an incredible setup for a conflict arc. Luann is going to drive herself crazy with this one, I fear. Those who were waiting to get back to the main character, your hour has come in all its glory.

Maybe Quill will drive to LA, and Tiff hitches a ride. It could be a long trip, maybe an overnight, the traffic would be better.

I bet Tiffany is in the crowd scene. When did Quill come into the strip? Like I said I lost track of the strip for a while.

What about Brad and Toni?

I’ve been an extra in a number of movies here in the other LA (Louisiana). Tiff won’t get any speical treatment. That’s saved only for the big shots! LOL

Commenters are focused on the mechanisms and distances and logistics of getting to LA – the only thing that’s important is that Quill and Tiff will be seeing each other, which will create sparks. How it happens isn’t important.

I thought I remembered that Luann is supposed to live in some unnamed suburb near Riverside — hardly a long drive to LA. I would not be surprised if Quill is in the movie.

Is it just me or is Luann stuffing?

Heh, you think she’s loathsome, Quill may not. He may have been indifferent to her so far, and he didn’t fall for her games-playing (trying to make him jealous with her 30-second relationship with Gunther), but Tiffany is wiley, and she knows how to push Luann’s buttons. Given means and opportunity, she could make mild friendliness on Quill’s part look like something else entirely..Quill still looks at other girls, and he and Luann haven’t done any more than commit to not-dating and toy with breaking that rule, so who knows what hard luck sob-story Tiffany may spin to ensnare him?

What I find interesting is that Elwood told Tiffany “All you have to do is get to Los Angeles.” You would think that, with all his supposed cash, he’d provide her with a ticket himself….

That is, if he actually wanted her there…..

This portends bad news…or am I stating the obvious?

Two fully-loaded plot trains hurtling toward each other on the same track…

Ok, I don’t trust Quill, and Tiffany is giving Crystal that sidelong glance, that says “you’re coming with me.” I would hope that Quill is going back to Australia, but more likely he wants Luann to go with him to L.A. That would mean Bernice would have to tag along with her as her morality guard. I’m probably wrong, but I don’t see a “movie” as being much of a factor in this storyline, and I don’t see the “kids” leaving their families at Christmas time.

The likely hood of them being on the same plane and even running into each other is not too much :P

I am thinking she will be a crowd scene or two which mighe be cut and/or be a gopher. Or both.

I think in the much-hinted-at revelation of why Tiff is the way that she is, it’ll probably be shown that she has neglectful/disinterested/absentee parents. Greg sure hasn’t shown them up until now – all of her triumphs as Miss C of C, headlining the Pitts parade, “3rd winner” and others have been without any family applauding and ooh-ing. ANd when she got suspended from school it didn’t seem to come with any grounding or parental demands for reinstatement in the principal’s pffice. It seems no one cares about her, so I’ll bet she’ll be flying solo.

Of course, there’s always the chance they find her just as repugnant as everyone else….

There’s entirely too many parents that we never see, with questionable careers, floating around here, so no wonder you’re confused.

Speaking of which, what the hell does Frank do? Is he the local Mafia don, or what?

When Tiffany hears that, she’ll either be incensed that anyone would expect her to plump pillows, or else just shrug and bring her biggest sable makeup brush.

1st panel: Are they holding hands?

2nd panel: Did Luann just get a lot bigger in the chest?

Guess Luann and Quill won’t kiss this New Years’ !
