Gunther would go into his trust-issue fits again if it were Mr. Gray.

Yeah, you can see that “teeny, tiny, snide and sly look” Gunther gives, when Ms. B anticipates who’s on the other side of the “entry covering apparatus”…. – And how quickly it converts, once the true identity of the entrant is revealled! -The question now, is… “What time is dinner???? And… would you like fries with that Berger?”

Wow! Two new arcs start up at the same time? And both are filled with potential…

I like that she doesn’t have the fake, disdainful look when she’s around Gunther.

One point I need to make, and have been intending to: Greg likes to explore opposites attracting. witness Crystal and Knute, and even the funny one with Toni and Brad, where they don’t like any of the same things. So in spite of everything, who knows Tiffany, a truly very lonely and insecure girl,who might have potential, and Gunther a very lonely,nerdy guy who might be kind-hearted may have a future. They are attracted, per the arc a couple months ago. Of course Tiffany could be only using, but….I don’t think that is the point of this potential arc. We will see, watching the glacier move (lol).

Truthfully, though, we don’t even know if Tiffany and Gunther had another assignment to do (even despite Gunther’s raised brow, which could also be read as a “Wow, she’s actually here!”) and Ma Berger just didn’t know… or if it truly is unexpected, all the way around!

Tiffany and Gunther have only one course together, right? Maybe tonight Gunther had planned to work on English or history instead of biology lab. ’Bye, Tiff!

I’m thinking of a couple of kids from my class. She was the homecoming queen, his nickname was Lurch. They got together after high school. They’re still together after 35 years.

Prudence is gay. Quill is testing Luann to see if she’ll get all bent out of shape about it. Gunther and Tiffany will get together… in about five years.

Hmmm. This should be interesting. Wonder what Tiff is up to now. It can’t be “New York/Quill” related (her previous thing) because that wouldn’t have anything to do with Gunther. Could this be more “exploration” of a Tiff/Gunth ship?

Two things. Mrs. Berger is eager to see Mr. Gray again. Tiffany is eager to see Gunther again. The one was was expected; the other is an intriguing surprise. Maybe Tiff and Gunth can hit it off!

Oh, my gosh— that’s right! Tiff is looking for a healthy home life, stable parenting, just as much as Quill was!

Also note that Tiff has left most of her make-up at home, and her outfit is not as flamboyant as usual (to visit Gunther, she doesn’t dress like a drag queen).

Grades aren’t good and she looking for help because even Dad’s money won’t keep her in school. Then she would have to ‘work’ for a living.

Rosa and Aaron Hill both make a return appearance and when neither is able to rekindle old flames they hook up and become a couple.

Tiffany and Gunther need Gunther and Tiffany, respectively.We all need friends.Just have to set aside the sexual attraction possibly present.

As I recall, when Gunther came back from Peru with the beard and not dressed in flannel, Tiff thought he was pretty hot. A nerd like Gunth will one day make big bucks. Tiffs no dummy.

I thought she called him ‘study BODY’ at first, which is what I’d be doing if I was The Gunth!

Implausable: My take is that Gunther’s mom still calls the fellow “Mr. Gray” in front of Gunther as a form of indicating that he deserves respect from Gunther. In different groups this is fairly common. I had relatives who would have responded in a similar vein. Also note… I think this use of the moniker “Mr. Gray” is especially appropriate due to Gunthie’s surly appearance in the first panel. He still seems to be acting like a petunlant child around his mother…. and probably elsewhere also.Gunthie is still being weird about it because unfortunately, Gunthie is developing into an annoying character. Instead of growing and developing HIMSELF, and focusing on his life goals… he has become an annoying character who a) for the most part is simply going through the motions in his coursework, not apparently giving a damn about them (Note: He may still get “A’s” as he is mentally smart, but the grade is not a full reflection of his level of immersement or engagement in the course), b) jumped ship in regards to his own goals and dreams by going to Peru with Rosa…. with nothing much to show for the experience except some unexplained crazy experiences on a granny bus, and c) a surly, petulant attitude about a helluva lot of things, including his mom, Mr. Gray, and their relationship.In regards to the pictures…. I see these as the same pictures we had seen before. They do not seem excessive in a family of two individuals.If “surly” is going to continue to be Gunthies “middle name” then I would agree with you that Tiffany should run for the hills. Tiffany does not deserve to have to deal with the “annoying” version of Gunther. However, as is plausible for the story arc, if Gunther’s surly demeanor is meant to be temporary and is meant to reflect his inner angst… and he is supposed to get over himself in the relatively near future…….IF THESE THINGS ARE TRUE then Tiffany and Gunther could be an interesting, enjoyable match.

I expected Tiffany to show up in Gunther’s life. He seems to be the only friend she has since she moved into the dorm. The guys helped her move in and then never paid attention to her again.

Now did she say Study-Buddy or Studly-Body? I’m thinking things went well at the last study session.

I guess Gunther never called Tiffany since their evening together. He doesn’t seem happy to see her. Wasn’t he ashamed of whatever happened that night? He was too embarrassed to tell Quill about it.

Mr. Gray may be polychromatic.

Surprise visit and not calling him by his name would seem to indicate they haven’t been seeing each other on a regular basis. So, we have a little mystery for the moment. I don’t think Tiffany is pregnant, but Gunther looks concerned, not overjoyed to see her. Tiffany also looks like she has something on her mind. Is it possible that Gunther and Tiffany will be getting married before Toni and Brad? This is a face to face meeting, not the usual texting that kids do. Tune in tomorrow, this thing has potential.

Revive the Rosa and Gunther “relationship” (to use the term very loosely)? Been there, done that. Enough’s enough.

Oh Boy. Before THIS is all over, Gunther will Probably WISHED It Had Been Mr. Gray at the Door.

Don’t Get Me WRONG. I LIKE the Idea of the TWO of Them Becoming Very Good Friends, as Long as it Doesn’t go BEYOND That.

Try subbing “study” with another word. You know, I think Tiff makes a deal with Gunthie; he teaches her how to be more of a student and she teaches him how to handle the ladies “better”. She will make him feel more confident about his “abilities”.

Interesting. Gunther and Tiffany’s return kicked up the comments by about 55 – 60%. Luann, Bernice, and old warehouses just don’t generate the same interest.

True, but let’s hope she won’t be using Gunther this time. She did open up to him on their field trip. I can envision them as a couple and I think they would be good for each other.

She knows Quill is in New York. So he wouldn’t be around; she just got finished trying to make Luann feel that Quill would get involved w/ some other girl in NYC. Maybe she wants to see if there is any info she can get out of Gunther, like they might be in touch texting each other. Either that or she knows Gunther will be there by himself (w/o Quill) and she can put the moves on him in a way that she might not be able to do otherwise.
