Exactly what is Les loving? I suspect he is enjoying having two women fighting over him, even if one is his estranged mother. So, whose order will he bow to?
So… Ann does NOT know yet that Sheraton is Tiffany is her boyfriend’s daughter… which means that Les did not tip his mother off to Tiffany’s scheme. Let the games begin, indeed!
This is almost clever (by Tiffany standards anyway) but why wasn’t the unmasking done in front of all the other women Ann had swindled? Why not show the camisoles to the fraud office and let the cops take over? OK, forget logic – let’s see how this develops.
This could also turn out to show that Ann’s products actually are from Paris, they’re just a lower quality product in the line than the items Tiffany could afford to buy. Tiffany may have to ‘eat crow’ and apologize once the cops arrive and check out the situatio . She means well, though…
Hmmmmm…. I gather Greg had the other customers “leave” to set up how the three of them will try to figure this out. I guess having all the other customers remain would get a little chaotic (perhaps riotous if the other customers rebell). Maybe they should handle it “quietly” to preserve The Fuse, etc. But, perhaps not all have left (Ann didn’t expect Tiff to remain) and there will be another witness.
I’m not sure, though, that Les should be telegraphing his glee over this so “publicly.” If I were him, I’d “think” it (i.e. a bubble box instead of a direct dialogue). I’d expect both ladies to reply, “What are you talking about???” We’ll see.
Is she wearing a wire? Is her father on the cell phone, listening? Are the police in the parking lot? This is TUESDAY… Maybe Gunther pops in to save the day (Cue Mighty Mouse Theme)
Brilliant move on Greg’s part to have the two women wear similarly cut outfits. They both smack of sensuality, which is the female’s power whether against a man or another female. Nothing makes another woman feel more insecure than another woman who wears her clothes right.
1) Know why people sink their hard-earned money into things that won’t return their money and seem to go into everything but the things they were ‘created for’, like powerball, lotteries, etc?
2) Know why people make pop stars, reality show makers, scripted talk TV and court TV makers and celebrities and YouTubers rich?
3) Know why ‘House Flipping’ seminars and ‘EZ Lending’ companies still exist?
4) Know why some girls still date ‘bad boys’, and some boys still knowingly tote ‘Gold Diggers’ around?
5) Know why in fiction (and sometimes real liife), you discover that a ‘friend’ someone made, or that person a friend is dating, is deceptive and up to no good, but the person goes to tell their friend, but they get told off, and it’s only when you go through some elaborate exposing of the deceiver, that either the light bulb finally goes off, or the person only accepts, once they’re made to see how they could lose/have lost out on something?
Basically, it’s all the same answer….and the same reason these ladies all went to an event where they ‘won bonus items’ and such. People shouldn’t engage in those things….yet, they sadly do. Sure, they must be told, and hopefully they’ll listen. Hopefully. For every one who’d sincerely say “Thank you for telling me! Let’s go get our money, and get Ann!”, you’d also have those who deliberately want to continue in ‘the dream’, and didn’t care that they were ‘taken’ (sadly, some may think they fill some void in their lives, this way). They need to hear the truth, but it might take time. By the time these two potentially opposing groups came to the right conclusion of righting this wrong (could take minutes or days, even, if Tiffany had jumped up to announce this exposure, or called the cops), Ann could be looooong gone , taking advantage of a window of opportunity. Either that, or if all the ladies started to actually (even possibly violently) riot, to get their money back, or ‘get even’, Ann would disappear in the resulting crowd and fracas. Tiffany isn’t taking any chances…she’s not letting Ann get away. She’s determined to get her friends’ money back. She’s determined to get her life back. She’s going to make Ann ‘fess up’….and to stop her from bilking anybody else. She’s going to want to see Ann get out of her life. She now seems ready to attempt to corner the “Black Queen” into “A King’s Ransom”. Or at least get her “Kingdom” back.
Who’s got the popcorn?! I seriously thought Ann had a contingency plan in a case like this. She usually does during the first confrontation. She does not. Ohhhhhh this is gonna be good!
Is Les in the Tiffany camp? Looks that way. If Tiff can pull this off it affects more than the lingerie scam, the parents of both actually. And will they be drawn to each other? I know that is the biggest thing in a lot of minds.
This is very much getting off easy for Ann Eiffel. In the USA, an ex parte court order may be obtained and the goods are then subject to confiscation by law enforcement. One reported instance in a Manhattan jeweler’s store had federal marshals raiding the place and announcing that the owner had five minutes to open the doors to any storage safe, to facilitate the confiscation, and if he failed to comply, the safe doors would be blown open.
No lawyers, guns, but maybe money involved… Tiff is taking her down, neutralizing, with amends to come… I wonder if her clothing size will now change… And other repercussions involving the fathers, Les and Gunther.
I don’t like the way this looks so far. I sure hope Tiff’s wearing a wire and there is backup. If so, then Les determines his own outcome. I do like that.
Ann knows she’s caught, so she wants to get away a.s.a.p. The jig is up. Of course Les will go against Ann, he wants revenge on her for abandoning him years ago.
So, is the “jig” up now? We shall see. But, several different potentials I can envision:
1) The obvious suggestion is that Ann is wanting her car to beat a hasty get-away. But, this seems an imperfect solution by Ann, because it would only allow her to temporarily leave and not really change that Tiffany would be able to still pursue the grievance.
2) Another potential is that Ann has a weapon in the car and would plan to use it against Tiffany. However, this seems a bit far-fetched, as if Ann were so inclined to use a weapon, she likely would be “packing” it on her body already.
3) I suspect that Ann has in her vehicle some form of documentation (perhaps legitimate, perhaps forged) that certifies the “authenticity” of the garments. This would then likely end in a stalemate of sorts (at least temporarily) because it is doubtful Tiffany would have any means to prove or disprove the documentations validity…. and even if disproven, Ann could potentially claim SHE was duped.
‘…either you return the $ to all these ladies (who have purchased this fraudulent merchandise at great expense) or I will notify the main company in Paris (which I will do anyway) and you will have a lawsuit on your hands….’
I’ve not seen any mention of the change in Tiffany’s scarf. It is draped on the exact opposite side in the last panels with different parts of “WICKED” showing. Is there any significance to this? Does she have a camera or recorder hidden in her clothing? Six hours to go until we learn where Les’s loyalties are.
My fear is that Leslie will be no more effective than the referee in a WWE wrestling performance. Ann and Sheraton will have to settle their business essentially on their own.
We, too, shall be mere spectators at a match already scripted; we await Revelation of the ordained outcome….

Les is “loving this” because he thinks he’ll soon see Tiff in that camisole after his mom is put in the slammer.
And “No” I don’t think Ann is asking for her car to run. She’s got her “ace in the hole” in there. The Big is: What is Ann’s “Ace in the Hole?”
PS: I would Reaaaaaaaally LOVE to See Les get Ann’s car then bolt in a panic leaving Ann and Tiff alone together for the final showdown….,

Starting positions:
Ann is between Tiffany and the exit.
Tiffany is between Ann and her unsold stock.
Ann does not have the cash box or card reader in her hands.
Tiffany’s camisole comes from Paris.
Ann sold Tiff a camisole that may come from Hong Kong.
“Les, run and get my car.”

“Gee mom, your car has a boot that comes from Denver.”
