Does The Fuse have a backup generator?

Just go to work, Tiffany. I’ve gone to work with wet hair.

The plot is thickening! Will it focus on Tiff alone in the big, dark, spooky mansion? Or will a rescue/intervention take place? Could go either way. Stay tuned!

Is everyone expecting the power to be out for hours or even days?

Once again we see the reliable Tiffany appear in the midst of a minor crisis. Calling in to inform her shift boss that she wouldn’t make it. That’s my girl! 8^ )

TJ and Ox (or Ferret-Face and Thumb-with-Features-Face) are acting like they actually care about Tiffany! How will the writers screw that up? I mean, they’re like Lucy with the football when it comes to Tiffany storylines.

Tiffany must have been taking a shower when the power went out! She was planning to come to the Fuse to work her shift!Will TJ go to the Farrell Mansion and maybe start the backup generator?

Darn, she just called in to report she wasn’t coming in. I’d hoped she had called in just to talk to Oxford.

Bet Ox goes over to check on Tiffany. TJ runs to his files for Tiffany’s address and sends him out. Helpless gals like Tiffany draws males like bees to a honey hive.

At least Tiffany seems to have rinsed the shampoo out of her hair.

She should just take hee hair dryer and work clothes and get to the fuse ASAP!

The rest is silence.

Is not Oxford taller than TJ ?

Ox to the rescue.

Just get in the car, turn the heat and blower on, and go for a drive. That will get you out of the house and your hair will dry in the process.

Place your bets. Which one of them is going to suddenly show up and surprise her with a visit, and I mean SURPRISE?

It is obvious that TJ will come to the rescue. If Ox goes, once he gets there he will have nothing to say. It is only Tuesday so it will be a long quiet week. I can see TJ and Tiff together. It is time to start a new romance.

OMG! Life is So over!

Wouldn’t the Fuse have to close if they lost power?

Pretty sure that’s not how cell phone batteries work. They either work or they don’t work, they don’t break up like the voice box on an 80s toy.

I take it that Tiff does not sleep with the light off.

You would think that The Fuse would have a back up power source to keep the freezers and refrigerators running?

One real-world thing pops out to me, this Baby Boomer—didn’t Pops pop for a land line? I always like to joke that the Ma Bell land-lines (they still own and control them) will be here when the only other travelers of contemporary civilization around are cockroaches, and rats/mice, and I know that more and more people are cutting the cord but it would be a good back-up particularly now that his ditzy daughter in that big isolated mansion all alone. But anyway TJ and Ox, and/or others from her Fuse family (Les) will come to the rescue. See I said Wednesday, so tomorrow seems like a likely rescue panel set.

Tiffany has lost all hope of surviving the night. Loneliness and terror are destroying her, poor thing… TJ knows where her house is, Let’s hope he goes to check if she’s okay.

I love how well OX is handling the situation.

Don’t be scared, Tiffany. You can make it.

Don’t worry Tiffany, Jack will be jogging by any moment.

Could Tiffany stop being such a ditz? She shows real growth and then – this. Can’t go to work because her hair is wet. Like it doesn’t dry on its own.

Um, Greg, that’s not what phones do when the battery is dying.

They are showing concern for her.

After years of living in Florida, when cell phones routinely lost power during and after hurricanes, I still have a landline, and I’m now back in Pittsburgh (was born and raised here.) Surprise ice and snow storm the second week I was here in this ‘retirement residence’ kept the power out for 5 days. We had emergency power that kept hall lights, elevator and a few emergency lights in apartments on; I lost all the food in my fridge, but I still had my landline phone. Good thing, because I was required to quarantine for the first 2 weeks after arriving from Florida, so I was able to call for food to be delivered…

How late is the shift Tiffany was supposed to work? It was already dark when the power went out and it’s been out for 30 minutes so her shift must not start until at least 6 pm. She can’t serve alcohol and most people are done eating by 9 pm. That is a short shift for Tiffany.

I still think Les will poke his head out from washing dishes and offer to go rescue Tiffany.

So is Tiffany really and truly losing her marbles here? This doesn’t seem like one of her usual shameless calls for attention.

Someone call a medic. Tiffany is losing it.

Ever the drama queen.

It is truly the Apocalypse!

Hmmm, what to do? What to do? Who will intervene and come to the rescue? Or will she pull herself together and deal? Nah! ;-)

To those wanting her to use the heat of the car to dry her hair and get to work, how does she get an electric garage door open? And run the car without gassing herself?

TJ to the rescue!

My sister has an external battery pack for her mobile phone. It connects to the charging jack on the phone.

It’s too bad Tiff doesn’t have access to towel technology.

Hmm. My phone has never sounded like that when the battery dwindles. It sometimes sounds like that when whomever I am talking with is in an area with poor service.

I still find it extremely odd that Tiffany is choosing to not work BECAUSE her hair is wet. That is just foolish.

Overall, I have been enjoying the “dark scene” drawing styles Greg has employed quite a bit!!!! The story…. at least the “Tiffany” story, thus far, has been bland.

Or a partial brain of an adult.

Okay I’m just gonna say it: Tiffany’s overly-melodramatic message in the third panel was hilarious. It more than makes up for the weird way in which these phones treated “ran out of battery power” more as “walkie-talkie losing reception.”.

So now …

TJ goes to the Farrell Mansion to rescue Tiffany, wreaks his signature havoc.

Maybe he tries to connect a generator and starts an electrical fire.

Or tries to light that fancy gas stove and blows the house up.

On-duty firefighter Brad comes to the rescue, dressed in his dress uniform. Tiff desperately grabs onto his clip-on tie and falls and hits her head. She wakes up with amnesia or an entirely different personalty.

…

Or Tiff just emotes for the next two days until the next transition, to the darkened Gulag. Les hears Punk meowing but can’t find him.

How about a REAL twist: Tiffany’s lights come on – and Ann Eiffel is standing there in front of her.

She’s got no bar and no bars.

Oxford, now is the time! I hear your Destiny calling! Be a good lad now and ride off to save Princess Tiffany from her panic attack. Reap the rewards of a gallant knight!

Yeah, the Restaurant business gets really Slow when the Chef can’t see to Burn your dinner properly.

Cut to the heart of the problem. Her worries and fears seem silly to me but are real to her.

Phone battery running low will not transmit intermittently, it’ll just cut off abruptly.

“…and her hair’s wet.” HAAhahaha, Poor Tiff.
