It’s too bad such a socialistic political movement took a name that relates to how Black people are treated. Of course the lives of Black people matter. Just like all lives. But the political agenda of BLM isn’t going to help that.

Can someone tell me what lives DON’T matter? (Just asking for a non-Marxist friend).

What people infer from a simple three word phrase continues to amaze. I think most people, recognizing the context of why it became a saying, understand that “too” is implied as the fourth and final word. However, some infer “only” as the first, unsaid word. They’re ignoring the context.

All lives do matter, equally. Perhaps the best reason of all to not give your money to Marxist revolutionaries.

    By their own admission.

Any donation to a violent, racist, marxist group is wasting it on hate. Goodby Lunarbaboon, it was great while it lasted.

Many good things have come out of bad over the course of human history. Sadly, BLM is not one of them.

Founded on lies and half truths, rapidly developing into a movement of law breaking and violence, the BLM phenomena is doing far more damage than good. Damage to race relations, damage to basic speech rights, damage to the very people it purports to raise up.

The founders of the movement have done well by their ideological mentors. So many useful idiots, opening their wallets, destroying their own communities, even spilling blood.

    Absolutely. Read, think, decide.

    I really like this part.

“We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.”

Forgive me, but the disruption of the nuclear family is one of the most critical problems in the black community today. 2019 US Census figures.

    https://www2.census.gov/programs-surveys/demo/tables/families/time-series/children/ch3.xls

50% of black children under 18 live in a single parent home. 45% with a single mother.

29% of Hispanic children under 18 live in a single parent home. 24% with a single mother.

21% of white children under 18 live in a single parent home. 17% with a single mother.

The problem is not a racist issue, but it sure does look like a culture issue. And it is a recent problem. Black single parent households exploded in the late 60’s and early 70’s and just kept rising. The number hit 50% in 1983 and has never dropped below since.

Humans don’t need “villages” or extended family. Humans need to be raised by a mother and father living together. Both boys and girls need the strength of BOTH genders as they look for examples and guidance.
