Frieda: "Halfrican-American"? That's the word you use for people who are half-black and half-white? Marcus: What? My people needed a name, so I gave them one. Frieda: Seems kinda... gimmicky. Marcus: Well, what would you call me? Caucasianegro? Afro-Saxon? Frieda: Marcus.
Point being that if you know someone well enough to just know their name, you know a lot more important stuff about them than their ethnic background. They simply become unique people with a whole range of unique attributes who happen to have that ethnic background, but you rarely even think about it because it isn’t all that important.
