Having kids give each other Valentines is a favorite tradition for teachers. My kids loved it, because they got a party, but I always hated it.
Giving Valentines to the whole class (which our school required) mean your kids have to sign their names 20-30 times on sentiments they don’t mean. It seems very fake. If the kids only give them to their friends, you end up with situations like this – as well as the instant popularity contest when everyone sees who got dozens of Valentines and who got none at all.
