I add dried blueberries, dried cherries, dried cranberries, raisins, sliced almonds, chopped pecans, and chopped walnuts. And I make it in a large batch of 4 to 8 servings so we can have leftovers during the week. We add hot milk to the cold oatmeal. We’ve tried other methods and such. YMMV.

How does one ‘multi-grain’ oatmeal? Are there several varieties of oats like there are for rice?

That’s not oatmeal, it’s hot cereal. Cereal originally meant harvested grains, not that sugar-loafed cra…uh, crud… in a box.
