I did well in school, but it’s hard for me to believe that any kids really love the resumption of the school year, apart from those for whom the school day is their only respite from a really abominable existence.
I sometimes looked forward to starting the school year because i usually spent summer vacations at my grandparents house doing chores.
One kid’s pleasure is another’s pain.
I’m for Team Maria. My joy in going back to school lasted about two days; them I was ready for Christmas break.
