Tie a rope to the bumper, he’ll be able to keep up with that one.

I was faced with this same problem, a car big enough to haul my three big dogs around comfortably and still be very easy to drive. I searched car lots until I think I drove salespeople up the wall because everything I looked at had some problem that I couldn’t live with.

I needed a station wagon with back seats that folded down without leaving a big gap between on the newly created “floor” which could trap a leg and possibly break or sprain it. I needed a large easily accesed back door, I wanted side doors that opened widely, lots of stuff.

And I needed something very maneuverable. SUCCESS! I found a Volvo station wagon that fit all my needs. I am now on my 4th one and I still wouldn’t want anything else.

But NOT the new ones. The older Volvos are great but they ruined the new ones with “improvements” in styling, etc.

When I see this cartoon, I’m reminded that Tor Johnson drove a compact car.
