When I was younger, I had a neighbor who owned a ‘mentally challenged’ German shepard. One day, I went over for a visit. When I got there, she signaled for me to be quiet and follow her. She led me to her back porch and there on the floor, the shepard was sleeping curled up inside its legs was their Siamese cat and curled up inside its’ legs was a small raccoon ‘pup’. While I was there, all three woke up and went and drank for the same water dish at the same time !! !
Grew up with old tom cat and a Chihuahua. Long story short….mom heard what sounded like cat killing puppy. When around corner to find dog on back, cat holding him down with a paw to chest and ……..giving him a bath!!! Best of buds until they both passed way at age 19 each.
