Hmmm, the back looks like an F-22, the front looks like the amount defense contractors actually contribute to R & D today. However, the profits all go to the contractors. Ohh Ah S…!
dtroutma - You are off-message again. The waste in Washington comes from the politicians. In the 1970s the Army and Air Force wanted a new tactical transport to replace the C-130. The C-14/C-15 aircraft would have done nicely, but congress wouldn’t buy them because Lockheed would then be endangered. So McDonald-Douglas scaled the C-15 up in size to become the C-17. McDonald Douglas warned that it was going belly-up, so Congress bought the C-17, Boeing bought McDonald-Douglas and the military is still flying the C-130!
And I have to agree with StevieZ - the rear of this car resembles the F-22 only in that they both have wings, but at least the F-22 wings are functional, unlike government or dtroutma’s brain.
Well, they plunked in another 22 last week, and Gates cancelled out on the line today. Of course the 35 has severe thermal and other problems, but at least supposed to cost less, yeah, sure.
