Nope, just a way to “trick” Lila into working….I love the verbiage Drew. On point.

Funny, that’s just what my wife said just before I parlayed my assignment in “special projects” into a viable shot at “employee of the quarter…”

Reminds me of when my new manager changed my performance rating from “Thoroughly Satisfactory” to “Satisfactory”. He told me that was a first warning that I needed to improve or I could lose my job. That was 30 years ago when jobs were much more stable than today.

Sorry to hear that, Kab…I was definitely in that position in my old job. When you start to see those signs, you have to get your resume updated.

Lila’s blouse doesn’t seem to work on Drew.

At one job, the assistant to the guy who hired me didn’t like me. Between the day I accepted the job offer and the day I started, the guy who hired me got promoted and the guy who didn;t like me replaced him. I only lasted three months.

I think Drew is actually going to be good at this and - shock! - make Lila a better employee. She’ll also impress upon Lila how much Annie needs her to be a good employee.

To translate Drew’s verbiage into actual English “We’re going to crack the whip and drive you into being a more subserviant slave”
