Good that Annie said “our” backs. Trace didn’t tell her, either, that he was going to call. It’s not Lila’s teaching in this case, it’s the facts. And nice shirt, Annie.
Now, Annie did know that this had happened and did not tell Lila. Still, Trace will take the lion’s share of the blame.
The difficult thing, though, is that Annie really did want to go, deserves to go, and wouldn’t be going if Trace didn’t intervene. Self-serving or not, what he did ended up being what’s best for the kid—and that’s supposed to be what it’s about, yes?
