    I was in the business for several years, getting the call answered by the 3rd ring was important. Thank God for computers, we didn’t have to read the operators hen scratch

    This is how Call Centers work when actually Helping the customer would cost the business Money.

    AHT (average handle time) is the lifeblood of some of these centers. I do tech support and we’re given around 900 seconds on average. Sometimes it’s easy to hit that mark, other times it’s impossible.
