Why did DR Fine say “her gay friend?” All three men are gay, so that really makes no sense at all. He should have said, “her best friend”. Boyd seems to love Annie as much as he does Lila, otherwise he wouldn’t be there sleeping in a chair – best friend to both indeed!

Dr. Fine is right, Lila is her mother. But this don’t preclude the possibility for Alan to raise her together with Lila.
