I also wanted an afterschool job by delivering newspapers. They started me off by going door-to-door selling subscriptions. Thing is, I neglected to tell my grandparents, and they called the police thinking I had been abducted!! Boy, did I get in trouble that night!!

Exactly the way it was on my paper route. A big tip back then was the one lady who gave me 25 cents every week.

I had a paper route when I was in high school. There were at least two dirty old men on my route. You learn to be agile getting away from the “friendly hugs”.

My first job was a paperboy for the Vallejo Times Herald. Collecting was the worst part. Oh you brought back memories good and bad

I was a paperboy. You hit all the right nerves, but frame 5… That really hit home with me.
