    Two points, in reverse order:

    1. The afterlife won’t be boring, because we’ll have jobs to do, and they will involve doing what we love in partner with the one we love most (God). Right now, we are limited and can’t handle continual delight, but we will be stronger then and our joy will keep growing. “Come further up, come further in!”

    2. It isn’t that God arbitrarily sends people to Heaven or Hell; we are designed for the greatest possible love, and without it, we suffer. We have twisted ourselves so that we keep turning inwards, collapsing in on ourselves like black holes. But love turns us outward, and love for God turns us perfectly outward to perfect joy. If we choose instead to sulk in a corner and brood on not having things our way, God won’t force us to love and be happy. So we’ll collapse in on ourselves. On one level, that’s a punishment from God for rejecting our design; on another level, it’s just the necessary outcome of our selfishness.

Spending eternity in heaven with Hitler would be hell.

“I prefer Heaven for the environment and Hell for the company”. Quoted by someone whose name I can’t remember.

In my childhood we were taught to fear God! ( god will strike you down if you miss mass)

Now he’s a loving God! A Forgiving God!

    I’m torn if there is a hell…..sounds like it’s a fear tactic…

God loves you and sent his son to save us from our sins.

    John 3:16

    New American Standard Bible 1995

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

In the great tradition of deep philosophical questions such as: is Superman or Batman a better driver?
