The writers strike may have backfired. Reruns. shows produced in Britain and elsewhere, sports, and meta-news shows have taken up the space and nobody cares that there will likely never be a Friends reunion after Matthew Perry’s death.
It’s been probably 30 years since I gave a good whoop-de-doo about what shows the networks were going to air!
Having lived outside the U.S.A. for the past 11+ years, I find that I’m watching less and less television of any kind – preferring to read and/or live stream on my computer. I don’t even have a television set in my living room, anymore!
But Mike is right. I remember when the Fall Lineup on the 3 major networks was a really big deal – as were the lineups for the World Series – and that’s what everyone talked about. Those days have gone with the cathode rays in the vacuum tubes.
