It is not a refrigerator if it isn’t festooned with pictures made BY your children … and later in life, pictures OF your children and theirs.
Ours also has the shopping list, a piece of paper that both my wife and I annotate as we notice things needed to be bought. Yeah, I know I can spend another $600 to have it computerized but the Low-tech solution works for us and we never have to reboot it or lose it in a power outage.
Lots of new personal emotional outlets have arisen in the past 2 years. Some are rediscovering abilities once put aside for more practical but perhaps less satisfying pursuits, while others are discovering new talents. These new explorations can be a good thing in the long run. I hope we don’t lose them in the return to an earlier iteration of ourselves.
My sister’s grandchildren have discovered their artistic talents by drawing on her walls and cabinets with permanent markers. She’s trying her best to get rid of their projects. I told her those little artist’s works may be very valuable someday.
LOL, reminds me of an artist’s nonprofit group that I volunteer for… they have several artists show think much more of their own talents than anybody else does…

Art is art. Unless someone is trying to sell it to you, you’d better keep your opinions to yourself in someone else’s home.

Why? Because most adults think their work is good enough to frame and hang on a wall.
