Not that I’m plugging for dentistry but there is strong theory that poor dental hygiene may the gateway for internal disease that can cut life short. My deceased sister might be an example of this theory. She never brushed her teeth or flossed. She lost her teeth early to gum disease and became diabetic. Diabetes often results in other organ failures like the kidneys. Now, some scientist believe that it can lead to dementia and or Alzheimers. She died in her early sixties from Alzheimers.

I just went to the dentist yesterday. He asked me when was the last time I flossed, I said, “what do you mean Doc? You were there.”
