I am a vegetable rights advocate. I believe that all vegetables are living breathing creators and that they too have rights to continue to live.I am against people who forcefully yank them out of the ground and bite into them (ouch). It is time to gather together and start a vegetables rights groups. Any one with me?

This is really going to change the prize money catagories in fishing tournaments, for example, a prize for most fish, biggest fish, most talkative fish. I had to throw my talking fish back because it was an introvert?

New University study shows that plants respond to pain of being eaten and send out electrical signals to other plants near by and release protective chemicals to make the plant taste bitter.

So, now that plants and animals are off the vegan list, its now a diet of only inorganic artificially produced materials and for roughage – gravel. Yum – petroleum based pasta with a ragu of humanely mined iron ore. Makes you strong with 100’s of essential minerals…

That fish had to do some work to get hooked the way it’s hooked!

Had a fish start talking to me after I threw it in the cooler, once. Threw the ventriloquist off the boat, problem solved.

Anything that has a nervous system feels pain, that’s what it’s FOR. Of course things have different thresholds for pain depending on what their survival strategy is. An Octopus can regenerate its limbs, but it needs to be able to function even if it loses several tentacles so it has a chance to survive long enough to do that, being distracted by intense pain wouldn’t be good for it. As for fish, I’ve never gone fishing and I have no idea how much pain a hook through their mouth would cause them.

    Shuddup, Greg!

A talkative fish just muddies the waters, and what’s a beer-swilling fisherman to think (if he still can think after swilling beer all afternoon)?

The minerals were formed in stars that exploded. You could still be eating part of an ancient civilization. Perhaps photosynthesis is the best answer to achieve true purity. But what do I know, im just a meat eating heathen.

the smaller fish that was eaten by the one on Moondog’s hook would have felt pain, too then
